All vinyl window and patio door line plays a supporting role in “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” Project for Wisconsin Family

MOSINEE, Wis. – Oct. 8, 2008 – Visions® 3000, a premium all-vinyl window and patio door line from Visions Windows & Doors, will play a supporting role in the Sunday, Oct. 12, episode of ABC’s Emmy-award-winning reality show, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” The Richland Center, Wis., home built for widow Rochelle Anders and her four children feature Visions 3000 windows contributed by Visions. The show is expected to air nationally at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC-TV.

Each “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” episode features a race against time to complete a new home from demolition through construction, interior design work and furnishing for a family in need of a new beginning. In this episode, a new home is provided for Anders, a teacher who is raising her children alone after her husband’s unexpected death four years ago. The family had been living in a nearly uninhabitable home with a leaky roof, crumbling walls and foundation, and a wood-burning furnace that provided marginal heat in the winter. The new home was built by Veridian Homes of Madison, Wis. More information on the project is available at www.veridiangives.com.

Veridian’s President of Operations David Simon said, “This project is more than a home – it’s about health, happiness and hope for a deserving family. We were honored to be selected to join Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, but it’s really the dedicated volunteers and trade partners like Visions who have helped make this family’s dream a reality.”

The home was built during the last week of July with the help of hundreds of volunteers and Veridian suppliers, employees and subcontractors.

“Our company has supported community efforts through our Employee LITE Foundation grants and volunteers for the past nine years,” said Mark Schield, Visions vice president. “We are honored to have assisted this family in our company’s home state and to have done so in partnership with Veridian Homes. This project has really touched lives.”
