Trex partners with U.S. Lumber Group

WINCHESTER, Va., Oct. 8, 2008 – Trex Company today announced a strategic partnership with U.S. Lumber Group, a distributor of building materials headquartered in Atlanta. U.S. Lumber Group will serve as a full-line stocking distributor of new TrexTrim, an ultra low-maintenance trim product offering superior durability and long-lasting beauty to both consumers and contractors.

U.S. Lumber Group will stock TrexTrim at each of its seven distribution centers – ensuring that TrexPro® Contractors affiliated with lumberyards and millwork houses/shops throughout 14 Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states will be able to order and receive TrexTrim on an efficient basis.

“We are excited to partner with U.S. Lumber Group to distribute TrexTrim – our newest innovative and extremely reliable product line,” said Ron Kaplan, president and CEO of Trex. “U.S. Lumber Group has developed a strong reputation within the industry for highly-personalized service. We are confident that they are an outstanding distributor able to meet the needs of our dealer network - which in turn provides supplies for our talented TrexPro Contractors to complete their high-quality installations.”

TrexTrim is manufactured of cellular PVC material that resists yellowing, splitting, rot and insects. Its exclusive release film protects the trim during transport and installation – resulting in a clean, scratch-free finish. At the job site, TrexTrim provides contractors with superior workability, as it easily cuts, fastens and paints, saving both time and money. The product is available in sheets, corner board, bead board and smooth or wood-grain trim boards – all of which offer the security of a 25-year limited residential warranty.

“We’re pleased to stock and distribute TrexTrim” said Jeff McLendon, president of U.S. Lumber Group. “Our customers recognize and respect the Trex brand, and new TrexTrim offers them the confidence that’s associated with the most trusted name in high-performance, wood alternative products."
