Jagdfeld appointed CEO

WAUKESHA, Wis., August 19, 2008 – Generac Power Systems, Inc., Waukesha, Wis., a leading manufacturer of portable and standby power generation equipment, today announced that President Aaron Jagdfeld will become Chief Executive Officer effective September 30, 2008. CEO Edward A. LeBlanc will remain on the company’s Board of Directors and serve as a consultant to the company during the transition period.

“Aaron has been instrumental in driving our sales, marketing and product development initiatives,” said LeBlanc. “As a 15-year veteran of the company who has experienced all aspects of this business, I have full confidence that Aaron will successfully lead the company’s growth into the future.”

Jagdfeld began his career with Generac in its finance department in 1994 and became the company’s Chief Financial Officer in 2002. In 2007, he was appointed President and he is responsible for the sales, marketing, engineering and product development at the company.
