HOUSTON, Texas (Feb. 16, 2009) – The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) inducted new President, Suzie Williford, Manager of Luxury Products at Kiva Kitchen & Bath at a luncheon presented by Cosentino® North America in Houston. Cosentino spokesperson and HGTV celebrity designer Candice Olson addressed the crowd of more than 200 NKBA members and guests on the elements of kitchen and bath remodeling makeovers.
“Cosentino is a long-time supporter of NKBA and looks to maintain and leverage relationships with members of the association,” says Roberto Contreras, Jr., chief executive officer, Cosentino North America. “We appreciate what NKBA does to educate and enhance the knowledge of those within the kitchen and bath industry, and we know that Suzie will continue to lead the organization in the right direction.”
In addition to sponsoring the induction ceremony, Cosentino North America sponsored fundraising activities at the NKBA luncheon, such as a Kitchen Picture Contest, and a raffle for a five-day trip to Spain, with proceeds benefitting Houston Habitat for Humanity.
Cosentino North America spokesperson Candice Olson spoke to the members regarding the benefits of utilizing a variety of materials, including Silestone® by Cosentino natural quartz, in their kitchen and bath designs for 2009. Olson is best known for her role on HGTV’s “Divine Design” and is one of North America’s leading professional interior designers with a style that incorporates creativity, practicality and timelessness.
Newly inducted NKBA President Williford began her career in the kitchen and bath industry thirty-four years ago in the decorative plumbing and hardware segment, then developing her professional role to include cabinetry and appliances. She has been an NKBA member for more than 30 years and has served on the Board of Directors for the past eight years.
