The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show is making its show more social by adding social media functions to its KBIS Connect tool. Similar to other show planning guides, Connect allows attendees to view products, find exhibitors and events. But this new feature turns it into a community allowing users to create profiles, post blogs and functions to itconnect to exhibitors and other attendees. Users can write on profile walls and send private messages - features common among many other social sites like Facebook and Twitter.
“Our exhibitors have asked for a way to maintain a relationship with the people they talk with during the show. As more show exhibitors and attendees utilize KBIS Connect, the site will develop into an enriched community that offers value during and after the show. In addition, KBIS Connect also allows the exhibitor to gain a better understanding of the audience and communicate with them more efficiently by providing each audience with information they need to be more successful in the market," says Jim Scott, managing director of the show, in the news announcement.
It will be interesting to see how the show transforms on the floor and on the Web with this new tool. Pictures of the new tool are to the left of this article.
Will you use the social features in KBIS Connect?
