Early-bird deadline near for custom residential architect event in September

The Custom Residential Architects Network, which is an AIA Knowledge Community and also is known as CRAN, will hold its 5th annual symposium Sept. 6-9, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on the waterfront in downtown Newport, Rhode Island.

The event, "Elevating the Art of Residential Design & Practice," will feature education seminars, networking opportunities, a home tour and more.

The three-day symposium is open to all AIA and non-AIA members and will bring together custom residential architects from across the country to learn, share and discuss relevant topics in the field of residential architecture. CRAN is committed to the promotion of all residential architecture based on architectural content irrespective of style. Participants can earn up to 18 AIA Continuing Education credits.

Residential Design + Build magazine's editorial dirctor Rob Heselbarth is scheduled as an expert panel moderator on Sunday, Sept. 9.
