The Home Builders Institute (HBI) has announced promotions and realignment for its Washington, D.C.-based leadership team. Effective December 1, the following HBI executives were promoted to senior vice president and will serve on HBI’s Executive Team:
Edward Harrison joined HBI in 1992 and was named chief financial officer in 2010. A specialist in government cost accounting, Harrison is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Steven O. Kramer
Steven Kramer joined HBI in 2002 to launch HBI’s Residential Construction Academy and to direct HBI’s communications efforts. Before joining HBI, Kramer served in various senior management and account positions at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Weber Shandwick, Ketchum and Burson-Marsteller.
Faye M. Nock
Faye Nock joined HBI in 2001 to direct the organization’s human resource functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, health and wellness, compensation/benefits, organizational effectiveness and human resource systems. Nock also oversees HBI’s information technology capabilities. Nock previously held senior human resource positions with Marriott Corporation and Johns Hopkins Medical Services Corp.
Dennis O. Torbett
Dennis Torbett joined HBI in 1981 where he manages all of HBI’s youth and adult training programs nationwide. He has built award-winning pre-apprentice and apprenticeship training, as well as youth mentoring programs, across the country in support of the residential building sector.
The following two executives will serve as vice presidents on HBI’s Executive Team:
Keith Albright joined HBI in 1981 to oversee the HBI Job Corps operations, the organization’s largest training program nationwide.
Tadar Muhammad, a tenured youth development professional, joined HBI in 2001 and directs HBI’s specialized pre-apprenticeship training and job placement and mentoring programs nationwide.
In addition, Laura C. Bray will serve as director of administration and part of HBI’s Executive Team. With more than 35 years at HBI, Bray has served its three chief executive officers.
