Registration now is open for the 2014 Passive House Award. Any Certified Passive House Building or EnerPHit Retrofit, as well as larger complexes including such buildings, can enter. In addition to single buildings, urban planning with a focus on Passive House principles may be submitted for this year's award. Special recognitions may also be awarded for a number of different themes such as the intelligent use of renewable energy sources, integrated energy supply concepts and innovative designs and solutions that respond to particular challenges, whether climate or otherwise.
The 2014 award, supported by the EU through the PassREg project and under the patronage of the German Federal Ministry of Transport Building and Urban Development, is a celebration of architecture. The award demonstrates the great potential and versatility offered by Passive House solutions.
The deadline for entry is Sept. 30. Further information and online project submittal is available online at Passivehouse-award.org.
