NARI’s 2014 Evening of Excellence

DES PLAINES, Ill.—The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) held its 2014 Evening of Excellence reception March 28 in New Orleans. The reception was part of a three-day event hosted by NARI and including its Spring Business Meeting. For the second year, the Evening of Excellence was broadcast to the remodeling industry as a whole via an online webcast announcement. The presentation highlighted both Regional and National winners of the CotY awards, totaling 126 projects in 25 categories.

Contractors from seven regions nationwide vie for the CotY awards on an annual basis. All projects submitted for judging were completed between July 1, 2012, and November 30, 2013, and were an improvement or addition to an existing structure with the exception of “Residential Exterior Specialty.”

An impartial panel of judges, who are experts within the industry and associated fields, selected 25 national CotY winners, who were announced during the reception. Preliminary judging took place online in January, after which regional winners were announced in each of the categories. These regional winners advanced as finalists at the national level.
