Second Annual Bath Competition by Duravit

NEW YORK, N.Y.—Duravit USA, Inc. has announced its second annual Designer Dream Bath Competition. The program invites architects and designers to imagine their ideal bath space using a selection of Duravit collections. Participants are asked to use their own bathroom as a basis for their designs, and must submit a rendering or sketch illustrating the potential transformation with the implementation of Duravit products. The winner will be awarded the Duravit items used in the project up to a value of $15,000.

Designers and architects are asked to submit two views minimum (rendering or sketch and floor plan) and a “before” image, as well as a brief submission form including challenges, objectives and project details. The 2014 submissions may pull from the following Duravit collections:

  • Vero: A long-time ceramics line that has been expanded with the addition of furniture. Special features include LED lighting, Bluetooth integration, front-facing towel racks and six finish options.
  • DuraStyle: Designed by Matteo Thun, the series embraces visual lightness and a clean aesthetic. Innumerable custom combinations include a range of washbasins, mirrors, bidets, furniture, bathtubs and rimless toilets.
  • Happy D.2: Created by Sieger Design as a showcase of the signature Duravit “D” shape in its soft-lined ceramics and bathtubs, the collection has a linen furniture finish and LED illuminated mirror cabinets with integrated Sound System. The collection is comprised of: 13 bathtubs; 12 washbasins; and fresh styles for toilets, bidets and cabinets.
