Duet Fabric Care System

The Whirlpool Duet Fabric Care System automatically senses load size and uses only the water required to clean the load, consuming 68 percent less water. Less water means less energy to heat the water, yeilding savings of 67 percent, according to the manufacturer. Duet is designed to save 12,584 gal. of water, 600 kWh of energy and about 150 dollars in utilities yearly, compared with doing 10 loads a week in traditional washers using normal cycles.
