GAF Materials Corp. TruSlate roofing system combines hand-split slate and an installation procedure designed to produce attractive and enduring slate roofing. The slate eliminates overlapping using a stainless steel hangar and batten system to lock slates into place. This process is meant to reduce the number of shingles, lower material costs and removes excess weight from a roof.
