Pella offers Architect Series windows and doors with HurricaneShield impact-resistant glass windows. HurricaneShield glass is a laminated glass with an advanced polymer technology designed to provide a layer of protection to help keep a building intact. The glass is able to withstand an impact equivalent to that of a 2x4 traveling at 50 ft. per second, according to the manufacturer.
