Made from sustainably grown sources, Accsys Technologies’ Accoya Wood is useful for decking, cladding, windows, doors and exterior furniture. The wood is transformed to the core through acetylation, a process that reacts the wood with acetic anhydride, which comes from acetic acid and is vinegar in diluted form. The transformation reduces shrink and swell by 70 to 80 percent. The product is warranted for 50 years above ground and 25 years in ground.

Product From BR-111 Hardwood FlooringBR-111 Exotic Hardwood Flooring has unveiled its Zinfandel Tigerwood engineered wood flooring for the kitchen. It is created using a light scraping technique and employs a French bleed to accentuate the grain variation. Each plank is individually scraped by hand. The scraped look hides wear and blemishes after years of use. The boards are 5-inches wide, 1/2-inch thick and 12- to 71-inches in length.
Viridian Wood has introduced Jakarta Market Blend and Fishtail Oak exotic hardwood flooring. Both lines are 100 percent reclaimed and FSC-certified. Jakarta Market Blend is a varied mix of dense hardwoods from the tropical lowlands of Asia and comes in Dark Sort, Light Sort, Tropical Mix and Rustic finishes. Fishtail Oak has variations of chocolate, honey, cinnamon and burgundy colors. Iridescent copper flecks lend a fishtail appearance. The solid-strip flooring is 2 1/2-inches-wide and 5/8-inch-thick in random lengths of 2 to 6 1/2 feet.
Smith & Fong has made available its Durapalm products for flooring and panels. The products, which are sourced from reclaimed palms that are past their fruit-bearing years, feature an exotic grain and ranges in color from dark to medium-red mahogany. Durapalm flooring is available in planks from 2 to 6 feet in length and can be unfinished or prefinished. All Durapalm products are urea-formaldehyde free.
Starborn Industries Inc. has introduced its Smart-Bit Pro Plug System to simplify wood plug installations performed within wide-plank flooring, decking and woodworking projects. The system includes the Pro Plug Tool for Wood, the Pro Plug Glue Nozzle and Pro Plug & Fastener Kit in more than 20 wood species and fastener sizes. In timed trials, it reduced the time to plug by more than half.
BR-111 has released its kingsbridge oak flooring as part of its Reserve Collection. The wood flooring has a contemporary and rustic look with 8-inch-wide, 3/4-inch-thick planks and a brushed texture. It features an oxidized oiled finish and white-washed French oak. The flooring is available in 30- to 84-inch lengths with a 5-mm wear layer.

Saroyan's new TreeSmart line of unfinished engineered flooring has a 3/16-in. wear layer designed to be identical to solid wood flooring in wear and performance, yet yields as much as four times the flooring from one tree as solid wood. Premium lengths up to 12 ft. and widths from 2¼ to 10 in. and features scarf joint construction.
European Beech from Pollmeier Inc. is offered in nine shades as well as natural. The wood is grown in Germany's natural forests and is sustained-yeild harvested.
