Avancis PowerMax Solar Modules

Product From CertainTeed Corporation

CertainTeed has expanded its portfolio of solar roofing products with the Avancis PowerMax photovoltaic modules that can be integrated into existing roof systems. The system is made of copper-indium-selenide solar technology. The black panels can be installed on roofing, curtain walls and canopies. The modules can generate electricity in partial shading.

Apollo solar roofing system

Product From CertainTeed Corporation

The Apollo solar roofing system from CertainTeed Corp. features integrated polycrystalline solar panels. Each 12-lb. module features 14 high-efficiency polycrystalline silicon solar cells that absorb sunlight and converts it into electricity.

Advance Series and Performance Series thermal collectors

Product From Schuco USA

Schüco Solar USA has announced its Advance Series and Performance Series thermal collectors, which are lower in cost than their predecessor. Both use new absorber bonding technology that replaces soldering, allowing for better heat transfer and a smaller, lighter collector.

Cirrex solar-thermal water-heating systems

Product From A. O. Smith

A.O. Smith Water Products Co. has expanded its line of Cirrex solar-thermal water-heating systems to 16 package systems with one, two and three solar-collector configurations. Cirrex solar heating systems are composed of roof-mounted solar thermal collectors and a storage tank. The panel heats up a heat transfer fluid, which is pumped to a heat exchanger to transfer the energy to the water in the storage tank.

Echo solar system

Product From EchoFirst Inc.

EchoFirst Inc. has introduced its Echo solar system that generates electricity and can capture heat produced by the photovoltaic panels to heat water. The system includes mounting equipment, photovoltaic panels and an inverter, as well as a Web-based user interface to see how much energy the system is generating.

SOLR

Product From Sheffield Metals

Sheffield Metals’ SOLR thin-film solar laminates are fused to the surface of the roofing panel substrate. The panel/laminate bond that's created has been tested and proven to withstand wind forces of 160 mph. The complete, standardized solar roof system includes schematics and specifications for all electrical components. The system features a 20-year warranty and a return-on-investment of 10 years or less.

FAFCO 500 Series

Product From FAFCO

The FAFCO 500 Series’ dual-loop design heats potable water via the solar heat exchanger while maintaining separation from the potable water loop and ensuring the quality of the heated water used in the home. The system, which is engineered with commercial-grade components, quick-connect fittings and ultraviolet-resistant tubing, can be powered using an optional photovoltaic solar panel, allowing it to be completely independent of household electricity.

Solar Water Heating System

Product From Caleffi

Caleffi’s Solar Water Heating System is prepackaged and specially engineered. It includes solar collectors, a pump station and controller, storage tank, and the necessary hardware and plumbing components, as well as a detailed warranty plan. Systems range in size from one collector, intended for one- to two-person households, to three collectors for households with four to six people. The system’s flexibility allows a variety of installation options, ranging from roof installations to ground mounts.

Solar in a Box

Product From Ready Solar

Solar in a Box is a pre-assembled, all AC solar-electric system. All non-site specific components needed to complete the installation, including pre-installed and grounded Enphase microinverters, come in the box. The system, which can be integrated into a roof like a skylight, features a modular design that allows for easy future system expansion.
