The Powercost Monitor is an energy-monitoring system in which a sensor unit attaches to the electric utility meter and wirelessly transmits energy-usage information to a portable monitor. Real-time energy charts are created through Microsoft Hohm or Google PowerMeter. The product has been shown to help consumers save up to 18 percent on their energy bills.
