Superior Walls has introduced Ui Wall, an uninsulated 4-foot-high precast concrete foundation designed for use below garage and porch additions. The low-cost alternative to poured concrete or concrete blocks is L-shaped for stability and measures 10 1/4-inches wide at the bottom and 4-inches wide at the top.

Weyerhaeuser offers their Trus Joist TJI joists with Flak Jacket TM protection. This specialty coating enhances the joists’ fire resistance, allowing builders to achieve one-hour floor/ceiling assemblies in multi-family applications while complying with the 2012 IRC fire protection requirements for single-family homes. The system approach includes polystyrene insulation panels with pre-molded cells for masonry units, specially designed masonry units made of stone, clay brick and concrete brick, and a modified Type-S mortar with enhanced pumpability, strength and adhesion.

Superior Walls of America's Xi Plus walls feature Dow Thermax reinforced polyisocyanurate insulation covering rigid foam insulation and a 4-in. insulated footer beam. A 4-in. standard floor slab may be poured equal to the height of the footer beam, eliminating the need for an additional screed board. The precast concrete wall panels have a built-in insulation value of R-21.3 and can be insulated up to R-42+.

Reward Wall Systems has introduced the 13-in. T-Form insulating concrete form to the iForm product line. It features an 8-in. concrete core for additional strength and constructability needed when building intersecting walls. Available in long- and short-return style, the form creates 7.12 and 5.73 square feet of wall respectively. The tie spacing maintains a 6-in. on center spacing.
