Volvic Lava Stone Countertops

Pyrolave countertops are made from Volvic lava stone extracted from the heart of volcanic craters in Auvergne, France. Engineers imbue the stone with brightly hued enamels, and the stone is then fired at temperatures exceeding 1000 degrees C. Available in 16 glossy and 16 matte saturated colors, as well as custom colors, the countertops are durable and can withstand high temperatures, acids and corrosive products, according to the firm.
