The StarMax V solar water heating collector for pumped glycol and drainback systems from Caleffi is shaped similarly to a standard four-outlet collector but has a fifth outlet at the bottom center and has sloped internal upper and lower headers. This combinations allows fluid to drain without the need to pitch the collectors. The array can be mounted plumb and level on a roof. The temperature well is directly connected to the absorber for accurate sensing.

Product From Rheem Water Heaters -
The Rheem XR90 Extreme Recovery Gas Water Heater has a 29-gallon capacity yet at 40,000 BTU per hour can deliver more hot water than a 50-gallon gas water heater. The unit has a first-hour rating of 90 gallons, which means homeowners get three times the amount of hot water in an hour than what the tank holds. It costs 17 percent less to operate annually compared to a 50-gallon gas water heater.
- Product From Rinnai America Corporation
-
Rinnai America Corp. has released its Scale Control System, an accessory that helps tankless water heaters perform optimally with hard water, in which mineral deposits can affect a unit’s efficiency and shorten its lifespan. The Scale Control System may be installed on a home’s cold-water line in front or upstream of a tankless unit. The system dissolves a blend of compounds into the water stream, delivering scale control without electricity. The cartridge, which should be replaced every 10 to 12 months, is translucent so owners can see when replacement is necessary.
