GE is launching a new finish - Slate - across its' GE brand of appliances. An alternative to stainless steel, Slate is a warm, grey metallic with a low-gloss, fingerprint-resistant finish that complements a wide spectrum of wall colors, countertop materials and floor and cabinetry finishes, notes the company. Slate appliances are finished with brushed metal touch points, such as handles and knobs.
