The innovative ODL® Solar Powered Dimmer, designed for the ENERGY STAR® qualified ODL Tubular Skylights, lets homeowners manage the amount of light entering a room through the tubular skylight. From a leading provider of tubular skylights for residential homes, the ODL Solar Powered Dimmer is the first dimmer of its kind that requires absolutely no hard wiring; instead, it uses solar energy, which makes it easier and less expensive to install than electric systems. “With a few simple steps, the Solar Powered Dimmer can be installed in any new or existing 10-inch ODL Tubular Skylight,” says Randy Brown, channel marketing manager, ODL. “Since the amount of light can be controlled with the new Solar Powered Dimmer, consumers can now install ODL Tubular Skylights in new areas of the home where too much light might have previously been an issue, such as bedrooms, living rooms, nurseries and media rooms.”
