Deryl Patterson, AIA, is well-respected for her residential design throughout the Southeast United States. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, she is a Registered Architect in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Association of Home Builders and a frequent speaker at industry events. Prior to joining BSB Design, Deryl led her own firm and opened a Jacksonville office for The Evans Group. She began her architectural career with Walt Disney World. Deryl has three children and a husband who makes balancing a career and household possible.

Rob Heselbarth is the editorial director for Qualified Remodeler and Residential Design + Build magazines and their online properties. Heselbarth began his career as a newspaper reporter, but has spent most of his time connecting with construction professionals through trade magazines and related online properties. Heselbarth has covered both residential and commercial design and construction since 1991. He is a regular speaker at housing and residential design industry events across North America. Markets Heselbarth has served throughout his career include: commercial and residential heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration; residential and commercial plumbing, contracting and design; and most recently custom home design, construction and residential remodeling. As editorial director, he shares design trends, best business practices and product information with more than 120,000 housing industry professionals.
