Mark T. White, CKD, CBD, established Kitchen Encounters in 1981. The family-owned enterprise is known for unique and creative designs, quality products and exceptional service. Mark developed the Interactive Design Process to ensure the very best results for customers’ projects.

A recipient of NKBA’s design awards and other industry competitions, he has been featured in national and regional publications as a contributing designer and writer. Many of his kitchens and baths have been televised nationally on HGTV (Home and Garden Television). Mark has served as a judge for NKBA Design Contests and on national manufacturer’s advisory panels. He is a past officer and Hall of Fame member of the Baltimore/Washington NKBA Chapter and also served on the NKBA Board of Directors. In 2008, Mark developed courses for and teaches Kitchen and Bath Design at Anne Arundel Community College.
